CTM Outlander, a joint venture between Netherlands-based CTM and US-based Outlander Capital, says it has acquired the master recording catalog of American singer\u2011songwriter Matt Simons.<\/p>\n

According to a press release on Wednesday (April 1), the transaction includes masters spanning Simons\u2019 career, including the albums Living Proof<\/em>,\u00a0Pieces<\/em>,\u00a0Catch & Release<\/em>,\u00a0When the Lights Go Down<\/em>,\u00a0Rak Studio Sessions<\/em>, and\u00a0Identity Crisis<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

CTM Outlander noted that Simons’ 2015 breakthrough single Catch & Release<\/em> (Deepend Remix<\/em>) reached No.1 in multiple territories, including Germany, France, Spain, and Belgium. The track has received Platinum and Gold certifications across markets such as Canada, South Africa, Norway, Italy, Ireland, Sweden, and Switzerland.<\/p>\n

He first gained traction in the Netherlands, where his single With You<\/em> became a top 10 hit in 2013 after it was featured<\/a> on the Dutch television series Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden<\/em>.<\/p>\n

CTM Outlander, which has offices in Amsterdam, Dallas, Nashville, London, Miami, and Brussels, launched in 2021<\/a> with a stated ambition to invest $1 billion in music rights over five years.<\/p>\n

Its publishing acquisitions have leaned heavily toward Nashville, with deals for the catalogs of Shane McAnally<\/a>, Sam Hunt<\/a>, Ross Copperman<\/a>, and Natalie Hemby.<\/p>\n
