being uploaded to <span class=\"s1\">Deezer<\/span> has surged again \u2013 with the Paris-headquartered streaming service now receiving nearly <b>75,000<\/b> synthetic tracks every day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">That&#8217;s over <b>2 million<\/b> AI tracks hitting the platform each month, and it means fully AI-generated music now accounts for more than <b>44%<\/b> of all new tracks delivered to href=\"https:\/\/newsroom-deezer.com\/2026\/04\/ai-generated-tracks-represent-44-of-new-uploaded-music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revealed by Deezer<\/a> today (April 20), mark a sharp escalation from the <b>60,000<\/b> tracks per day the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/60000-ai-tracks-hit-deezer-daily-as-platform-moves-to-license-detection-tech-to-wider-music-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">reported in January<\/span><\/a>, when synthetic content represented 39% of daily deliveries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It also marks a significant jump from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/50000-ai-tracks-flood-deezer-daily-as-study-shows-97-of-listeners-cant-tell-the-difference-between-human-made-vs-fully-ai-generated-music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>50,000<\/b> AI tracks Deezer was receiving per day<\/a> in November, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/nearly-a-third-of-all-tracks-uploaded-to-deezer-are-now-fully-ai-generated-says-platform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>30,000<\/b> in September<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/10000-ai-tracks-are-uploaded-daily-to-deezer-platform-reveals-as-it-files-two-patents-for-new-ai-detection-tool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">just <b>10,000<\/b><\/a> when it launched its patent-pending AI detection tool in January 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">      <div class=\"mb-advert__incontent\"> new data, Deezer has announced a fresh operational measure: the platform has now stopped storing hi-res versions of AI-generated tracks, on top of its existing policy of removing such content from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Consumption of AI-generated music on Deezer remains low at between <b>1-3%<\/b> of total streams, according to the company, AI-generated music at the platform level \u2013 a move it first made <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom-deezer.com\/2025\/06\/deezer-launches-worlds-first-ai-tagging-system-for-music-streaming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in June 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The company says it has now detected and tagged more than <b>13.4 million<\/b> AI tracks on the platform over the course of 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Fellow French streaming service <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/high-res-music-service-qobuz-joins-frances-deezer-in-flagging-ai-generated-tracks-on-its-platform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">Qobuz followed suit in February<\/span><\/a>, announcing it would use its own proprietary detection tool to tag AI-generated content across its catalog.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Other major streaming services, meanwhile, are pursuing AI transparency via supply-chain self-disclosure rather than platform-level detection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/apple-music-launches-ai-transparency-tags-but-only-if-labels-and-distributors-choose-to-declare-them\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">Apple Music launched its Transparency Tags system<\/span><\/a> in March, placing the onus on labels and distributors to declare AI-generated content at the point of delivery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Spotify<\/span>, meanwhile, announced in September that it would support the new DDEX industry standard for AI disclosures in music credits \u2013 a plan that <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2025-09-25\/spotify-strengthens-ai-protections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">was updated earlier this month<\/span><\/a> with the launch of a beta feature allowing labels and distributors to submit AI-use credits that appear in Song Credits on mobile.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Deezer began commercially licensing its AI detection technology in January this year, with French collecting society <strong>Sacem<\/strong> as its first partner. The company then rolled out the tool to third parties more widely in March via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/deezer-launches-revamped-deezer-for-business-platform-bringing-partnerships-advertising-ai-detection-licensing-and-more-under-one-roof\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">its revamped &#8216;Deezer for Business&#8217; unit<\/span><\/a> \u2013 a one-stop B2B shop bringing its partnership, advertising, and technology licensing offerings under a single brand. Hungarian performers&#8217; rights organization <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/deezer-licenses-ai-music-detection-technology-to-hungarian-rights-organization-eji\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">EJI became the latest licensee in late March<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The company claims its detection tool can identify 100% AI-generated music from leading generative models including <b>Suno<\/b> and <b>Udio<\/b>, with the capability to add detection for other tools.
